Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has appointed Amy Welch to the Fairbanks Superior Court. Ms. Welch was chosen from a list of individuals nominated by the Alaska Judicial Council and forwarded on to the Governor. She will replace Judge Paul Lyle who retires next month.

Ms. Welch has lived in Alaska for nine years and has practiced law for nine years since graduating from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2013. She has a solo law practice in Fairbanks focused on criminal law, family law, and other civil matters.
